🛩️ University Park Airport will be renamed State College Regional Airport, Penn State and the Centre County Airport Authority announced yesterday. While the airport tried for a long time to build the University Park Airport brand, it never caught on, and the general public continued to refer to it as the State College Airport. The name change to State College Regional Airport is a move designed to better align with the public’s branding of the airport and reduce confusion among travelers. [StateCollege.com]
🍻 Boal City Brewing will be donating $2 to the Nittany Mountain Biking Association for every draft beer sold tonight between 5-7PM. 🙏 Penn State is mourning the loss of graphic design professor Ryan Russell who passed away on October 23 at age 41 after battling brain cancer for 17 months. Russell taught in the College of Arts and Architecture at Penn State for 17 years. He recently wrote and illustrated a children's book titled “My Annoying, Irritating, Always-In-The-Way Shadow” which is set to be released in December. The College of Arts and Architecture will hold a celebration of life for Russell at a future date and, in lieu of flowers, Russell's family requests donations be made to the National Brain Tumor Society.
