💰 Centre County Commissioners have set a tentative 2024 budget of $141.7 million, including no real estate tax increase for the 14th consecutive year. The budget includes a significant capital budget of over $28 million for courthouse and the former Centre Crest building renovations as well as county building maintenance. Operating expenses are set to rise by 6%, largely due to increased costs for employee insurance, while overall revenues are expected to grow by 5.1% from the previous year. The budget will be open for a 20-day public review with final vote on the budget expected at the board’s Dec. 5 meeting. [StateCollege.com]
